I am chillin, checking out my favorite social networks, and calling a few friends, and I am starting to notice a very alarming trend. It seems like a lot of people I know in my generation are single. With a lot of people waiting on a significant other out there, I am confused as to why so many beautiful women and men are single. Especially Black ones. I am starting to think in a Material world where everybody talking about "making it rain" and "tricking off" we have forgot one of our most basic needs in this life: LOVE.
Has it gotten so shallow that a successful woman has to be alone or be with a man below her standards just to justify her independance? Has it become so shallow that a man has to spend his rent money just to get a decent "looking" chick to notice him? I mean really I am just starting to notice and it makes me sad sometime. So many people want so much but are not willing to work in the relationship to get it. I look at other cultures and how they grind it out together, man and woman, and they get to a point where they establish foundations together....while African Americans....can't seem to get it together and build anything. I'm speaking for the majority of course....but why is it that it allways seems like black folk chase around the wrong thing before they can get with the right thing? With so much going on in the world, I wish we could just get it together for just once! I guess thats why I'm writing this blog....someone has to get the word out there....THAT NI***z need to wake the F%&* up~True Talk
